Candy AI chat, roleplay and memory controls
Messages supply the next part of the interaction. Tell the character what just happened and how you want the reply to sound, while keeping the names and relationship consistent.

Ask for a change you can recognize
Try a concrete direction: reply in dialogue only, stay with this scene, or ask one question before moving on. Several incompatible instructions make it harder to judge whether the character followed your request.
There is no universal chat-intensity slider. Use the character setup, your messages and the conversation controls actually offered. Content boundaries do not disappear when you change the tone.
Personas and Roleplay Mode
Your persona describes the role you bring to the exchange. The AI profile describes the other character. Keep those roles separate, and use fictional details rather than private information.
Eligible custom characters can show Switch to Roleplay Mode in the three-dot chat menu. The switch is permanent for that character, so review it before confirming.
Choose between continuing, branching and starting again
Reset Chat begins again with the conversation context. Delete Chat permanently removes the thread. Neither action promises to hide the visible history while retaining every detailed memory.
Clone Chat, where available with your plan, copies an existing history into another continuation. It is useful for a different story direction, not for recovering a thread that no longer exists.
Common questions
How do I ask Candy AI for shorter replies?
Specify the next response format, such as one or two lines of dialogue followed by one question. Keep the instruction compatible with the scene already in progress.
How can I make Candy AI replies longer?
Ask for descriptive narration that develops the current event, with a few paragraphs rather than brief dialogue. Supply a concrete event for the character to respond to. The instruction can influence length but does not set an exact word count.
Will a character retain every detail after a reset?
No complete recall is promised. Resetting or deleting can remove the chat context; use the memory options attached to your plan for details you want to emphasize.
When should I use Clone Chat instead of Reset Chat?
Use a clone when an existing conversation should branch into another continuation. Reset is for starting afresh, not preserving a second version of the current story.
Can I undo the custom character's Roleplay Mode switch?
Switch to Roleplay Mode is permanent for eligible Create My AI characters. Read the confirmation in the three-dot menu before making that change.
