Your custom AI characters and profile versions
A custom character belongs to the account that created it. Start there when a profile is missing or you want to change its setup, instead of registering again and expecting the same list.

Separate a character from its conversations
The profile supplies a name, adult appearance and personality. Each conversation develops a scene around that identity. Editing the profile is not a recovery action for a chat that was permanently removed.
Keep a note of a description you want to reuse before making a substantial change. Review the effect of a version conversion on an existing character.
Make a small change you can test
Choose one trait, greeting or available setting and try a brief exchange. If your new character is meant to be more reserved, ask a concrete question and compare the style rather than changing every detail at once.
A user persona remains your role, not another biography for the AI companion.
Check the account and the version
Use the original sign-in provider to reach your history and purchases. A different account can have another creation allowance.
An eligible V1 profile can be upgraded to V2, but the documented conversion does not offer a downgrade. New V1 creation is no longer available.
Common questions
Why are my custom Candy AI characters not showing?
Confirm the account email and original login provider before recreating them. A second account can have a separate list, history and allowance.
Does changing a custom profile bring back a deleted chat?
No. Profile settings establish the character. They do not restore a conversation that has been permanently deleted.
